Healthy Eating: New Generation!

 Ok.. so.. ive laid down some new rules for my eating and have discovered some new things i really need to get into!

New thing no.1
THIS IS FOOD PREPPING!
Isnt it amazing! eeek! I LOVE IT! so organised.. i just dont know if id get bored.. You alternate every second day and i guess you can plan and prep whatever you want really.. the odea behind the every second day is youre buying bulk ingredients to save!
I love the containers i love the packs you can buy! Although unless you take it to work or work from a car i dont really see the advantage..

 
 This is my little attempt.. this was only one day of prepping! Youre supposed to mix up the protein sources as well so if you have chicken swap to fish or another meat.























New thing no.2
GREEN SMOOTHIES!

These are super packed full of great nutrients! SUprisingly tastier than they look! I really need to get back into making soem good smoothies but im too lazy to clean the blender! BUT Laziness never got anyone anywhere! So just wash the damn thing up!







RULE NO.1
Atleast 3L (min. 2.6L) water a day!

RULE NO.2
Eat nothing for 2hrs before bed
only tea!

Better snack options!

Home is where the heart is..

YAY!!
Home from holidays!
God it was awesome!! Great to escape for a while but its even better appreciating the comforts of home!
I ate so much crap on our holiday! I didnt care, i gave myself the time off! Let myself run wild.. i really didnt eat as bad as i thought and all i wanted was salad and fish! haha I actually felt skinnier! How weird is that! Maybe the absent guilt trip i constantly send myself on about food was a good thing! I wanted to get my measurements done before we went away but it wasnt meant to be.. Probably a good thing! Im not feeling guilty about my holiday cause it was great!! I only went for one beach run! I had dreams about workouts i wanted to do but everyone was in too much of a chill zone!

One thing im happy about is my renewed motivation to get lean! Im full steam ahead after my crap eating! Im so sick of crap food now and really happy to get some good food into my belly! =) Keen to get ontop of organising and planning and MEAL PREPPING!!


Got straight back into my workouts this week! Forgot to change up my legs program to week 2 but had a week off so might as well start again! Decided to super set this week instead of taking turns and having a break.. my legs are sore but not nearly as sore as they were last week.. weird..
 Arms & shoulders week 2 was a killer! We found week 1 was a little less exhausting so bumped it up for week 2! Triceps are stronger than my biceps.. i hate biceps and my forearms were KILLING!!! arghh
 
Hit humpday cardio day.. yeah not going to work for me.. i was so lazy and really have no interest in cardio.. not to mention i havent planned anything for this day.. apart from SPIN and laps and sauna but i had to train in the morning so jumped on the treadmill WALKED for 15 minutes then onto the bike for 30.. was sooooo bored!! blergghh hate it! Need to set up some interval plans or something i dunno just wasnt interested today! was still sweating and my heart rate was up just didnt kill it..


Got some new tunes too! So i should go for a run this weekend!Although theyre pretty sombre slow songs haha  I LOVE THEM!!

The orange sauce is spicy! It has cous cous with veggies! The chicken is yumm!

very summery and refreshing! Really not that bad but just watch how much ice cream you eat and how close it is to when you go to bed!

 Valentines Day! Had to make everyone some choc coated strawberries!

 
The most amazing lychee & watermelon cocktail!



 Entree was a spinach, balsamic, sundried tomato, goats cheese (YUCK!!) & olive (YUCK) salad!
Main was asparagus and artichoke baked chicken mMMMmm with a red wine jus and baked potato mash stack thing
 
 Dessert blueberry chocolate fondant with ice cream =)
 
So amongst all this shit food i still ate kind of well.. apart from the ben and jerrys and the alcohol..
lately my eating has super slipped.. combinations of things but mainly sick of trying to hard to eat well when my family dont support me. 3 year olds dont like veggies!
Also just lost my motivation to be organised.. had no energy to worry about food when i have been so stressed out. Which really is the worst thing to do! Dont give up on your eating! It affects so much more than you know! Your mood, your energy levels, the amount of money you spend!
Saying this it was a nice reprieve to eat whatever i wanted on our holiday =) but im happy to get back to some good eating!
