Keeping Updated..





 So.. Have been trying to get back into the gym! Mainly classes as the gym floor has no interest for me right now. PUMP and SPIN! MY two favourites! So i have devised a new schedual revolving mainly around those two classes and running. As i am working all kinds of crazy hours if im organised i will fall into routine instead of using the "im too exhausted" excuse.


Been working night shifts! 3:30 until 8:30 but because my job is so hectic i generally dont stop until about 9pm! So i havent really been getting to eat! and when i finish its too late to eat! So i make sure i have a protein shake on the way to work for afternoon tea! Scoff down some protein (boiled egg or shredded meat)about 5:30pm just before i serve the residents dinner because after that its non stop! Then when im finished ill chew on some veggies and meat before i leave so im not tempted to get junk! Its been working pretty well so far but im so thirsty! I've been keeping a bottle of water in the laundries so i can have pitt stops every now and then when i run past! but like i said theres too much to do!

Beat my 5km record! Thought i was doing totally shit running with Katie & Mel- who are a thousand times fitter than me lol But i shaved 3 minutes off my previous time to get it down to 37 minutes! Slowly getting closer to 5k in 30 mins! Need to run more! Practice makes perfect! haha


Lost 1kg this week! So happy with my eating! Found my dress for my cousins wedding! It didnt look right when i tried it on so went down to the size 12.. they had to use two people to do the zipper up but it went up!! haha Gotta lose like 3cms off my waist for it to be comfortable to sit down! Which is always a good motivator! Eat clean Train Mean or you wont be able to breathe all day! haha It's exactly a month away! so im pretty keen i can manage that!
I lost
2kgs
1% body fat
2.5cms off my hips
while Katie was away! Which is pretty good considering i didnt train the last two weeks she was away and my eating clean went out the window!

New BFF Jackets =) So lame we got matching jackets hehe

 Dont stop yourself from achieving what you want! Others have done it and so can you! Never let the self doubt stop you from trying! Prove yourself wrong!
  







I guess all i can say is just keep going! Tell your head to shut up! It doesnt matter how slow youre going as long as you dont give up!
Run! if you think you cant run..
Jog! if you think you cant jog..
Shuffle! if you think you cant shuffle..
Walk fast! If you cant walk fast then by god you will walk at an even pace!
If you cant walk at an even pace there is something seriously wrong with you and you should proabably go to the doctor! Seriously.. there are no excuses but those you put in your own head!
SO GET RID OF THEM!!!

I always forget this most important part of eating healthy!!
 
My mind boggles as to what some people tag "healthy" these days! I guess everyone has their own definition and knowledge (however limited) as to what is "healthy".. To me healthy means fresh.. lots of vegetables.. protein and minimal carbs or complex whole carbs.. No refined or artificial ingredients and wholesome foods that will sustain you and help your body repair and fuel itself..
 
Wikipedia says..
"Health food" is sometimes used as an umbrella term encompassing natural foods, organic foods, whole foods, and sometimes dietary supplements.
A healthy diet involves consuming appropriate amounts of all essential nutrients and an adequate amount of water.
 Additionally, "health food" is sometimes used in contrast with "junk food", which may be high in calories but has little other nutritional value
 
Swapping simple things like white bread for a whole grain bread like pumkin seed or soy linseed!
Full fat milk to Low fat, soy or Almond milk
Soda and excessive juice to water
Frozen vegetables for fresh!
Lower your saturated fat intake! eg. fried foods, cheeses and pastries
Seriously consider how much sugar is hidden in the small things like milkshakes, flavoured lattes, fruit juices, "low fat" products and muesli bars!!
Small changes can have the biggest impact =)

Recharge..

 
I'm currently taking part in the 21 day meditation for peace.. Each day is a new meditation. its only 5 minutes so theres no excuse not to do it. Heres the link http://www.choosetobecalm.org.au/



Meditation is important to me as my negative self talk is my biggest problem and meditation trains me to master those thoughts.
 It's hard to find time with two kids under 4, running a house, being a wife, working part time and trying to lose weight. My thoughts tend to run wild! So its good every night before bed i spend 5 minutes doing the daily meditation and calm down my inner monologue. Time to refocus on what im thankful for, where im at and whats next.

 
I've booked in for another retreat! The last one was such a sucess i feel lighter.. this one is Mother & daughter so my mummy is coming too! We have such a strong connection and im very blessed to have such a wonderful mother who has always supported me and helped me! So it'll be interesting to see what they have instore for us =)


So it was fathers day on sunday and we had a family BBQ to go to.. i needed some jeans as my ones are too big.. i fished around my draw for the jay jays jeans i had tucked away for when i got smaller. I put them on and realised they are quite big aswell.. when did this happen?? Its a great feeling when you have gone from not being able to do them up.. to fitting into them.. to putting them in the "too big" bag..
 
Feeling so good i decided to weigh myself..
It seems i have broken my 82kg block! Maybe i will even be able to FINALLY break 80kgs and be on my way to goal weight!
 
 
This "Target weight" app is annoying to have on my phone because it has the kgs left until your goal as notification numbers like mobile FB app.. so when i open my phone and see oh whats that 10? oh damn thats 10kgs i have to lose haha but its good it no longer says 25! Focus on the positive =)
 

This is the stats page in one of the sections of the app.. As you can see in the background of the text is the line of my weightloss! and the target line i should have followed haha My weightloss is all over the place! but mostly its going down so its all good =) It also calculates that i will be my goal weight by march! I'm hoping to be at goal weight for Xmas! So i better pick up my game haha Thats a loss of  almost 700g a week! Sounds easy..
