So Pumped!!

Ok so last year was all about shifting the kilos! Starting out, getting going, and really losing big numbers! I did that! This year i've still got numbers to lose but my focus has shifted! Im really more focused on getting my body "lean" losing as much body fat as i can to achieve my goal! This means really sweating it out and toning up! Lots of cardio, intervals and super set weight sessions! The biggest thing being nutrition! Focusing on cleaning up my eating being organised and being conscious of what im fueling my body with! Its funny when you're obese and trying to lose weight its a different kind of battle.. Its all about getting the simple rules down pat.. exercise, eat healthy, stay consistant. When you've lost most of your weight and are fairly fit it gets harder in a way.. its all about the fine guidelines! Its gets so hard to shift any weight! So you have to start digging a little deeper! Fine tuning your nutrition.. finding ways to push your body harder in workouts! Really exploring the hows and whys of losing weight! Im a bit of sponge and very curious by nature.. i love knowledge and am always researching everything! Its really fascinating what processes the body goes through to gain/lose weight.

So ive fine tuned my nutrition and am currently implementing the changes, ive redesigned my workouts and have been talking about getting some supplements to kick start things off! I went to the supplement warehouse in Campbelltown and got no help, no one even came up and asked me what i needed and i felt too intimidated to go up and ask! I really have no idea when it comes to supplements so i just walked out! I was really put off by the experience. After PUMP class On thursday i had a chat to my lovely friend Skye and she recommmended Fire Up Supplements. She goes to them and said they are really friendly and can help you select whats right for you. So i gave them a call and asked if i could drop around. They run their business online and out of a shop in their home. I felt so comfortable they're very friendly and full of knowledge about their products! After going through my story and what i want to achieve i was all set on what products to get! Look up their Facebook page for all their info!

I ended up with the new Thermo burn 2.0 protein powder in vanilla! (I was tossing up between vanilla or caramel.. caramels my favourite but vanilla you can blend into smoothies!) and albutarex "pre workout" powder. Thermo burn sounds like the ultimate miracle powder! Low carb high protein, appetite control, etc etc.. and it tastes really good too! Went to the gym in the 46 degree heat and did some leg weights and cardio! I was sweating like i was in bikram! The thermogenic compound really works! I had extra energy and a little more drive than usual! Im on a mission! I'll take some before photos, weigh in and get measured so we have some official starting stats! Im really excited to see my progress over the coming months =)

These are some before & after photos i pulled off Pinterests website! I like these because the girls were fairly normal weight to start off with and you can see how much they have slimmed down which is what i am hoping for!I want to be smaller all over and more definition! Minus about 8% bodyfat!

Just keep swimming..

So many good things..

Oh My..

 Today started so magically..

So recently i've been doing some soul searching..Im not losing any weight for all my half assed efforts and my mind is in chaos. Im not sure what you believe in but im a big believer in how much your mind and thoughts play on your weightloss and quality of life.. Hence why im a big believer in yoga and meditation.

I seem to go hard or not go at all.. im having trouble balancing life and losing weight.
Working, organising the household, looking after my girls, being a wife, a bestfriend, a daughter, a sister and finding time to be myself. Im constantly exhausted and have been really sabotaging my efforts. Finding it hard to focus on one thing at a time and then giving up focusing on anything.
I'm quite an open minded person and really give everything a go. Ive always had a pull towards alternative therapies and really believe in the connection between the body, mind, and spirit.

My bestfriend and my mother have been seeing therapists that do "muscle testing" or kinesiology (http://www.breakthroughtherapy.com.au/kinesiology2) and i've heard some really great things.

I know how to eat healthy i smash workouts these two things really aren't my problem! I know its all in my head and Gavin does alot of combined techniques to really get out what the underlying issues are and how to retrain your brain/thought patterns to alter the current cycle of behavior.
Yeah sounds pretty full on.. I had my first appointment today and it really blew me away! He was asking me all these questions about what i want to achieve and where i want to be and how my life is going now..and was able to pull the answers out of the way i chose my sentences.. its really hard to explain but it was quite an awakening. He made me cry which i was determined not to do! Getting under all the shit and deep into the underlying issues of my sabotaging behaviors.
He ended it by teaching me a repatterning exercise and gave me an oil blend. For the first time in years i have been able to clear my mind and not have a single thought running through my head! I felt kind of high.. off in fairy land.. and was so relaxed i wanted to sleep. Its was so refreshing.. and i seriously recommend it.. to be honest i was a bit of a sceptic and wasnt sure about my appointment but im really glad i listen to my mother and went. Im going again next week to see him as i have joined up to their new Mind & Body transformation program!

It seems everyone has jumped into the "12 week transformation" programs! After doing Michelle bridges i have seen so many pop up out of nowhere! So i was intrigued to see what they had to offer being an alternative therapy business. I went along to an information seminar about the program last night and it was really good! Im all about the mind aspect of losing weight and this program went beyond the michelle bridges "mindset" lessons.
You get:
  • an appointment with gavin like what i had today but you have to fill out pages of questions as a "warm up" so youre not spending your whole appointment with the questions.
  • 2 sessions with their PT who specializes in strength and conditioning training hes got a full list of credentials-masters in strength and conditioning, trains junior dragons football team and heaps of really good swimmers n stuff.. He does an assessment of your current fitness level your goals and your lies/dislikes and creates a program for you.
  • You get a free week of circuit training and bootcamp sessions. Thereafter they are $12 session or 10 for $100
  • Each week you get 15 min support session with Gavin. This is to weigh and measure, consult about how your week went and any mishaps you stubled across and how to work through them to improve next week
  • You get a 20% on all the services Break Through has to offer: chinese medicine, acupuncture, Energy centered chiropractic work, remedial, aromatherapy and sports therapy massage,Reiki,  astrology, etc etc
  • Theres access to a naturopath at a reduced rate for meal plans and consultation
It says its 12 weeks but really its about moving through the stages. That may take you a year or longer/less. Its really about focusing on you individually and supporting you through every aspect of the weight loss journey. It was createded by Gavin himself who has lost 45kgs in the last year and based on what helped him through and what he needed throughout his journey.
I have been thinking of joining back up to Michelle Bridges 12wbt but cant justify spending the money for stuff i already know.. With this i can use the program i get from Chris in the gym or continue the exercise program i have been doing already.. I know what i have to eat and can get help from Nicola if i need it. Ill be seeing Gavin every week to check in and make sure everythings in order. Im really excited! Ive got all the forms and all my diaries i have to fill out and im ready to deal with the shit when it comes up because i know ill have his support every week. The atmosphere and the loving energy i get from this place is so overwhelming.
If youre keen for a little something extra heres the link to their website!

Healthy Eating!

suprisingly i have stuff to put in this post!
My fall off the wagon really isnt as extreme as i always think it is haha i always manage to eat good!

Family BBQ new year day!
whipped up some of my healthy rissoles! Just a damn shame they dont really stick together that well haha

My obsession.. Frozen yoghurt! Youll all understand when the one at Mac square opens up!
It is to die for! I drive to Bondi to get this one because it is the best!!
This was watermelon and vanilla frozen yoghurt twist with strawberry & lychee balls!

You can get lots of different flavours and topping to add! MmmMMmMmm it may be fat free but dont ask me how much sugar goes into it hehe i dont wanna know!!

Another unhealthy addiction! Capsicum, fetta and cashew dip!! MmMMm with toasted leb bread!

These are some new recipes i want to try just from the woolies magazine! MmMMmm

Terrible!!!! late night maccas dessert!! seriously need to reign in my self control! I should have just had a tea but really wanted to bust out!

When i get some time im going to have a High tea! I LOVE the high tea idea but dont really want to sit around stuffing my face full of cakes and other bad stuff! So... this is the healthy alternative! Ill do an event on Facebook and have to charge people an entry fee! but im really good at organising party/event type things so ill have games and activities too! YUM YUM!!

One of my experiments haha im a little obsessed with couscous and chickpeas! So wanted to attempt a couscous salad! I grilled the lamb and cooked some mixed mung beans and chick peas.. sweet potatoe red onion and balsamic dressing! It was ok.. not as good as i imagined though! BUT always good to try something new!

BFF night out! Fanthai in camden is AMAZING!!! I got prawns and veggies with a curry peanut sauce! The sauce is quite light because it is coconut milk/curry based and its 80% veggies! We also had watermelon paradise drinks which is just watermelon and ice blended! MMmMMM

One of my friends instagram! Shes been really dedicated lately to eating clean and shes been killing her workouts! She recently lost 4% bodyfat in 2 weeks!! thats killer! Also she has got me onto the supplement warehouse for some pre workout and sleep supplements! I also need to get some protein powder!
More instagram healthy eating!
This is a healthy ish snack if youre craving something naughty!

Im a big fan of creative food presentation! This is beautfiul! Its just kiwi fruit and strawberries!
Great healthy food porn!

After all the crap eating of late i was craving veggies! thats all i wanted i didnt want any meat or anything but fish is always very light! So i went to the supermarket piled up some fresh veggies and make a salmon stirfry!

I used garlic ginger soy and chilli! It was soooo damn tasty!! just marinated the salmon while i was chopping and cooking the veggies! I even had enough for lunch the next day and two portions of veggies to freeze so in the future when i want veggies theyre on hand!

Yummy frozen yoghurt pops! Strawberry and blueberry with cinnamon! Imogen ate all the strawberry ones and toldme to make Mango ones haha

Ran out of muesli so i made some more! Generally the same stuff but this time i added protein powder! Also left out the apricots! Its great =)

 Getting organised like the professionals!

These are motivational healthy eating photos of some meal preppers that inspired me to get organised with my meals! They have big cook ups on monday and call it #mealprepmondays im not too sure how they make the food last for a week.. they may freeze it but im a bit wary when it comes to keeping food in the fridge! I have a phobia of food going off and eating it blergghh..

There's so many resources out there and people who are interested in good food its easy to get different ideas! Just try new things! or stick with those things you know you love! Be organised and prepare meals in advance or write down on a meal planner what youre having for what day.. it makes things easier and means you dont have to waste time trying to think of what to have! Also eliminates the excuse for easy take away!
Happy healthy eating =)
